How to Maintain an Inflatable Cold Plunge Tub
Water changes, filtration, sanitization, and off-season storage.
An inflatable cold plunge is dramatically easier to maintain than most people expect. Cold water inhibits bacterial growth, so you can go longer between changes than a hot tub. Here's the routine that keeps things clean and the tub lasting years.
Filtration
Run a cartridge filter for 15 minutes after each plunge if the tub is used daily. It catches skin cells and body oils before they cloud the water.
Sanitization
For single-user home tubs, a small dose of hydrogen peroxide or an ozone sanitizer keeps the water clear. Avoid chlorine — it's overkill and hard on the tub fabric.
Water changes
Change the water every 2–4 weeks for daily home use. Weekly for multi-user or gym setups. Ozone-treated tubs can stretch to 6 weeks.
Off-season storage
Drain fully, dry the interior with a towel, deflate, fold, and store in the included carry bag away from direct sun. Stored properly, an inflatable tub will hold up for 5+ years.
